  • NBC released a news story following this that Yelp were suing South Park for $10 million. Later, a Yelp executive revealed they weren't really suing them.
  • This is the first appearance of David.
  • Kenny does not appear in this episode.
  • The restaurants and shops that are in Historic Shi Tpa Town include:
  • The name of the new Mexican restaurant, "Nueva Familia" translates to "New Family", as David and his parents are the new family in town.
  • This is the first episode from Season 19 so far not to feature PC Principal. Oddly enough, none of the boys even mention him, even the possibility of reporting Cartman for his racist behavior.

  • In the beginning of the episode, when Gerald writes a Yelp review for Applebee's, Mendelssohn's Hear My Prayer can be heard playing.
  • Yelp is a crowd-sourced review website where anyone can write a review on restaurants, retail stores, or any other business open to the public.
  • The scene where Yelpers "behead" the Whistlin' Willy's mascot parodies videos of ISIS soldiers beheading their prisoners. Prior to that, actual footage of ISIS training camps is shown when the news reports on the Yelpers.
  • The song that plays when Cartman walks down the hall after Whistlin' Willy's is destroyed is "Bad To The Bone"  by George Thorogood and the Destroyers.


  • First appearance of Whistlin' Willy's since "Ass Burgers".
  • CtPaTown has been renamed to Shi Tpa Town.
  • The first person Butters shoots in the balls in "The China Probrem" returns as a Yelper.
  • This is Ike's only appearance in the season, and he is in the background only.
  • Jacob Hallery from The Poor Kid can be seen when Cartman walks down the corridor.
