Hello South Park fans! I hope you had a good Christmas. The end of the year is coming and I thought I'd look at all the things that have happened this year to do with the series and also on the wiki.
South Park[]
This year's season of South Park was certainly an interesting one. Gerald Broflovski, a character who is usually known for being one of the more sensible adults, caused a women to commit suicide when he started internet trolling because "it's funny". Eric Cartman, famous for feeding his father to his half brother, now has a girlfriend after turning nice. Due to the horror that was the 2016 Presidential Election, Herbert Garrison is now president. We saw some new characters, including the memberberries , racist berries that reminisce about Star Wars. One problem with the season was the absence of Kenny . He had one line in the whole season, which is less lines than in Season 6, and he was supposed to be dead for most of that! Hopefully the next season will have more Kenny, will get rid of nice Cartman and will be more than 10 episodes.
South Park Archives[]
This year has also been an interesting year for South Park Archives. At the start of the year, there was only one main admin (Aguziel), but at the end of the year, there are 3 more admins on the wiki. One of which joined the wiki this year (HighJewElfKing), one came back from retirement (Manic The Hedgehog) and the other one's me.
The wiki also got some new features this year. Discussions is a new feature introduced by Wikia. It is a conversation feature where people can create new posts, reply to posts, and "upvote" posts or replies. SPA also got a discord channel to replace the chat feature. Chat parties have been occurring there when the new episodes have aired.
After many other wikis got an app of their wiki, this year saw the launch of the South Park Archives App. Download it now on the App Store or Google Play.
The wiki has had its fair share of bad users, but this year saw the arrival of a dick user known as CartmanCheesyPoofs. CCP did bad edits almost every day and filled up the admin's message walls. In the end, the admins got together and gave him a Christmas present he deserved, a 40 year ban.
This year also saw the first annual group photo, which is a picture of the South Park version of the editors on the wiki.
Next year will see South Park turning 20, and I'm sure the creators have plans to celebrate. See you in the new year!
