[edit] Synopsis

When Cartman makes a bet with Stan and Kyle that the South does win the American Civil War, he is forced to try and change the re-enactment of the war.

[edit] Plot

Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny are practicing their Civil War band march when Stan, Kyle and Kenny kick Cartman out.

At the re-enactment of the Battle of Tamorak Hill, Cartman makes a bet with Stan and Kyle that South will win the war. If South win, Stan and Kyle are Cartman's slaves; but if South loses, Cartman is Stan and Kyle's slave. He ruins the re-enactment several times.

Later on, he tells Jimbo that South should win so that the South side in the re-enactment will not be teased for "losing" as they are every year. The men are all drunk from the S'more Schnappes beer sponsoring the event and agree to this.

After heading out of town, they capture more and more areas and grow in number. They also raid the towns for beer. Kenny is killed on the way however, to which Cartman informs Kenny's mother by mail.

Stan, Kyle and Grandpa Marsh then realize they need to stop Cartman from ruining history. They suggest that the men are drunk, and will return to town when they recover.

When the men realize what they've been doing, they decided to head back to South Park. Then, a truck shows up carrying more beer and a S'more Schnappes girl and the men become drunk once more.

With no other options left, Stan and Kyle take on the role of Jefferson Davis and Abraham Lincoln in front of the White House and manage to end the "war" with South "surrendering". The men respect this act and return to South Park. Stan and Kyle then tell Cartman he's their slave; President Clinton however, tells them that now South have surrendered, slavery is abolished.

[edit] Trivia

  • This episode aired shortly after the suicide of Mary Kay Bergman. She voiced most the female characters. All female characters had no lines (apart from the S'more Schnappes girl who was voiced by Trey Parker) since a new female voice artist wouldn't be cast immediately due to respect.
  • When they killed Kenny McCormick instead of Kyle Broflovski saying: "You Bastards", Stan's grandpa Marvin Marsh said it.

[edit] Goofs

  • About 30 seconds after Cartman gets his beard ripped off it reappears when he turns sideways.
