Trivia

  • "Mantequilla", Butters' Mexican name, is Spanish for butter.
  • This episode did not air in Latin America, but it was dubbed into Spanish.
  • This episode mainly focuses on the topic of illegal immigration, involving Mexicans trying to get over the United States Border.

  • The name Mantequilla is actually Spanish for butter, or peanut butter, referencing Butters' usual nickname.
  • When Cartman is having a nightmare at the sleepover, a guitar hero controller and an Xbox 360 can be seen in the background. As well as this, you can also see Monopoly, potato chips, soda cans, and other various games - also seen is a box labelled "Mommy's Toys" and there is a blowup male doll to the left, another reference to Liane Cartman being a sexaholic. There is also a small figurine of Shadow Hachi, Stan's ninja alter-ego from the episode Good Times with Weapons.

  • When the boys leave Cartman's House to look for Butters, all of Cartman's Team are dressed for playing the game, while only Token is dressed for The Mexican Team.

  • Randy Marsh's scream of "NO!" when he sees the leaves the house is originally from Darth Vader at the end of the third Star Wars film and a reference to the Blu-ray enhancements to the sixth film to include the line. This is the second time Randy's voice has been dubbed for a "No!" line, the first being in "Something You Can Do with Your Finger" - on that occasion the sound was taken from Star Trek: First Contact.
  • The Mexican workers leaving the USA for Mexico and other parts of Latin America is a reference to the 2004 movie A Day Without A Mexican, a satirical comedy directed by Sergio Arau.

Other times he has used guns he either lost control or the gun jammed, such as in "Wing", where he lost control of an automatic gun and "Cartoon Wars Part II", where his handgun jammed.
