[edit] Synopsis

Summer arrives in South Park, but fireworks have been banned. Mr. Hat has run away and Jimbo and Ned are thrown in prison.

[edit] Plot

Summer arrives, the school bell rings but Mr. Garrison won't let anyone leave until Mr. Hat is returned. He turns his back and everyone leaves, except for Pip.

The snow has melted (for the only time as of yet) and Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny go to buy fireworks for the 4th of July, but soon discover that they have been banned after a kid from North Park had blown his hand off with one. Cartman leaves the guys to go to his swimming lesson, but Stan and Kyle warn him that 1st Graders urinate in the pool.

Upon finding this out, Jimbo and Ned decide to help the boys by smuggling in some fireworks from Mexico. Unfortunately, Jimbo fails the test on the American border by stating they do have fireworks. He and Ned are arrested.

Mayor McDaniels has heard about the firework ban and ponders on what to do for the 4th of July Celebrations. She decides upon the world's biggest snake. The Mayor has been informed about how the snake will be made, it will be put in a huge dish surrounded by flamethrowers. She is sitting in her office letting Officer Barbrady perform oral sex on her.

At the celebration, the snake is lit but grows out of control destroying the town.

Mr. Garrison meanwhile has gone to a phsyciatrist (Dr. Katz) who explains Mr. Hat is Mr. Garrison's gay side. The giant snake smashes through the window and kills Dr. Katz.

At a sauna, Brett Favre meets Mr. Hat, who moves his eyes proving he is possibly real.

The boys phone Chef about the problem of the snake. He is on holiday and tells them to "fudge themselves". Jimbo and Ned arrive with fireworks. As they are set off they impale the snake destroying it.

At the swimming pool, Cartman finally swims to the deep end, but as the pool reopens the 1st Graders urinate right in front of Cartman.

Instead of the snow the boys use the ash from the snake to play with, as does everyone else. Mr. Garrison walks past and introduces Mr. Hat's replacement; Mr. Twig. Chef arrives back and sees everyone black from the ash and assuming its 'blackface' tells them to form a line so he can "whoop their asses".

Younger South Park boys with firecrackers

[edit] Kenny's Death

While the snake grows bigger it attacks the orchestra. Everyone jumps off the stage except for Kenny. It's too late for Kenny to get off so he is thrown off the stage by the snake and lands next to the bleachers where the snake knocks the bleachers over and crushes him, followed by an "Oh my God, they killed Kenny" by Stan, and then a "You Bastards" by Kyle , as usual. Another death happens, as well. There was a flashback of the boys younger, playing with firecrackers. Kenny held onto his too long, and his head blew off, resulting in rats eating the corpse, as well as the famous phrase, Oh my God, they killed Kenny! You Bastards!

[edit] Hidden Visitor(s)

One is seen swimming in the pool.

[edit] Trivia

  • This is the only episode to date in which the snow has melted in South Park.
  • This episode introduces Mr. Twig and marks the departure of Mr. Hat until a few episodes later in Chef Aid.
  • This episode reveal Pip's parents are dead.
  • As the snake starts to burn and destroy the town, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and the other kids from the school band start to play "Nearer My God to Thee" (albeit poorly), the song allegedly performed by the band on the R.M.S. Titanic as she was sinking.
  • When the boys call Chef for help, he hangs up the phone and continues singing. Even though the phone is hung up, the boys can hear him singing on the other end.
  • When the crowd is shown after the snow, we see an adult man who resembles Butters. We may assume that it was his father...then (but see Wacky Molestation Adventure
