Season Twelve began on March 12th 2008. It contained fourteen episodes, like its predecessor and aired in two halves with seven episodes at the start of 2008 and the other seven towards the end of the year. The second half began on October 8, 2008.
In Canada, Season Twelve began on March 28, 2008 with the first half finished on May 09, 2008. The second half started on October 17, 2008 and finished on November 28, 2008.
This season features a new opening for the first time since Season Six. It begins with the characters falling into place and various clips playing out. The characters sing their lines with movement over four minimized versions of the clips. There is also a new crowd scene. The theme tune remains the same however. This is the second season Kenny survived.
