Marcus Preston is a male 4th grader at South Park Elementary who made his debut appearance in the Season Twenty-One episode, "Hummels & Heroin", where he personally investigates the sudden increase in the rate of deaths of children's costumed character entertainers after Chuck E. Cheese violently vomits, collapses off stage, and dies at his 10th birthday party.
Marcus is a short, chubby 4th Grader. He has curly black hair that is cut low on the sides, and high on the top. He dresses professionally, sporting a green jacket, a brown v-neck sweater, and dark blue pants. He also has a very distinct voice, speaking with force, but at a high pitch.
In the episode, "Hummels & Heroin", Marcus proves himself to be sentimental, astute, and ambitious. He took many steps to uncover the mystery behind the death of Chuck E. Cheese, and the other costumed characters, and stayed persistent on bringing justice to whoever was responsible. He made brilliant accusations, and moved forward with each piece of evidence he discovered with his own wit.
He is also very sensitive, and was fueled by his admiration for Chuck E. and the other entertainers to look further into each of their unfortunate passings. He also burst into tears while speaking to Stan about his feelings toward their deaths at the end of the episode. Despite his analyzational skills, Marcus is also mentally still a child, as he genuinely believed each of the entertainers were the actual cartoon characters they represented while in their costumes.
