Trivia

  • In a promo for this episode, Randy can be seen wearing the full Bane mask while in the actual episode he wears part of it[1].
  • In one of Cartman's false alarms, he said he was asked if his dad likes cologne.
  • Steve Black's wealth is alluded to when he is seen holding a cocktail in the bar with the other men.
  • In one scene when Randy and the other men were secretly watching the UPS man, Jimbo has his old appearance.
  • If you look closely out of Kyle's living room window just as the UPS truck is about to explode, Randy and Stephen can be seen running away.
  • Kenny has no lines in this episode.
  • When Stuart told Randy and his friends that if they found his wife was having sex with the ups man he would want them to tell him similar to what Jimmy ask The Boys to tell him if they found out his girlfriend was a whore in The Ring.

References to Popular Culture

  • This episode contains many references to online retailer Amazon and delivery company United Parcel Service or UPS for short.
  • Wolf Home Security is a parody of ADT Security Services. Many of the scenes in the episode parody several commercials for Broadview Security, formerly Brink's Home Security and now merged with ADT, including imitating the camera work and the conversations between the operator and the customer. [2] [3]
  • Background music similar to Hans Zimmer's The Dark Knight Rises can be heard at the end of this episode.
  • The Old Farmer returns after his last appearance in the episode "Marjorine". He is based on the character Jud Crandall from the film Pet Sematary.
  • Bane masks are used as disguises and as voice alternators for the townsfolk who attack Thad the UPS delivery man, a reference to the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises.

Continuity

  • This is the second time Ike Broflovski walks in on his parents having sex. The first time, which happened in a very similar manner to this episode, was in the Season Thirteen episode "Dead Celebrities".
  • This episode also sees the third time where Stephen Stotch's attraction to men is referenced, the last being in the episode "Cartman Sucks" when Stephen secretly admits to Butters that he is bi-curious.
  • Cartman says his catchphrase, "Respect my authoritah", for the first time in this season. The last time he said this was in the episode "The Last of the Meheecans", though in Spanish. Therefore this is the first time he says it in English since the episode "Marjorine". However, the catchphrase was slightly altered, from "authoritah" to "authoritay". It can be implied that this is due to Cartman's voice change from Season 7.

Goofs

  • While Sheila Broflovski and Gerald Broflovski have sex, Sheila's mouth doesn't match her dialogue.
  • After the UPS man's truck explodes, the UPS man tells the agent on the phone saying his car blew up.
