Craig is one of the 4th graders in the series South Park. He is voiced by Trey Parker.

[edit] Appearance
He wears a cold-blue jacket, black pants and a blue aviator hat with a yellow puffball on top. In older seasons, he wore blue jeans instead. He's been shown to have two hairstyles; In "South Park Is Gay!" he has black hair, however in "The Losing Edge" he's shown with brown hair in a style similar to Stan's. In "Lice Capades", he once again has black hair. He is fairly thin, as revealed in "Tweek vs. Craig". He weighs only 45 pounds. Craig appears to be taller than most because of his long legs. In "Quest for Ratings", the teacher sent Craig to have his testicles removed, which may have been exaggeration, but may have no testicles since that episode.

Craig has bad behavior and said to be the biggest trouble-maker in class, most likely not just for his habit of flipping people off. Because of this, he always goes to Mr. Mackey's office. Many scenes with someone going to Mr. Mackey's office show Craig sitting outside.
Craig has notable leadership skills, as he is the leader of his own gang and he lead the plans to deal with Mark Cotswalds. Craig's assertiveness can sometimes lead to bullying, like in Hooked on Monkey Phonics.
[edit] Tourette's Syndrome?
He is notorious for flipping people off. In "Tweek vs. Craig", it is suggested that this is either a normal form of communication in his family, or that they all suffer from Tourette's Syndrome. When accused of having done so, he will often deny his actions, even immediately after. If the first possibility is correct, then he may be so used to doing it, that he doesn't give it any thought anymore. Craig's habit may have come from the fact that he is bad at verbal insults and instead he proceeds to flip them off.
In "Le Petit Tourette", he repeatedly states that he would be "sooooo happy" if he could say some of the things Cartman gets to say (Cartman has fooled people into believing he has Tourette's Syndrome, and can't control what he says). While this initially implies that he doesn't have TS, it might simply be that his tic is flipping people off, and he simply wishes it was uncontrollable swearing.

Craig is the leader of a gang who are social rivals with Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny. They first appeared in "Tweek vs. Craig", were first acknowledged in "How to Eat with Your Butt", but they were first viewed as rivals in "South Park is Gay!. Cartman refers to them as "Craig and those other guys". The group usually consists of Craig, Clyde, Token, and sometimes Tweek, Jimmy, or Jason. Craig and Clyde seem to share/alternate in leadership of this group, although, given by their designation, Craig is the primary leader.
Craig seems to feel more competitive towards the main characters than even his gang (see below). In "Quest for Ratings", he opened a television show in the school entitled "Animals Close-Up With a Wide-Angle Lens", which rivaled against their news show. On the other extreme, he seems eager to help them at other times, as in "Free Willzyx", where he is one of the boys trying to get the orca back to it's "home" on the moon.
[edit] Feud with Tweek
In "Tweek vs. Craig", the boys, on account of a bet they had made, claimed to Tweek and Craig that each had insulted the other, and convinced them to fight. When it turned out neither of them knew how to fight, they had them trained for it. Craig was trained by Cartman, in Sumo wrestling. After the fight, both boys were hospitalized, but the kids fooled them into fighting again.
In recent seasons, they have been shown to stop hating each other, as Tweek is a regular member of Craig's gang.

His first name indicates that he may be of Scottish descent. The family's canonical surname is unknown, but a popular name given to them in fanfiction is "Nommel".
Craig is the only member of his family with black hair (his mother being blonde and his father and sister being redheads). One possibility is that he dyes his hair black, which would go to great lengths to explain why his hair was brown in "The Losing Edge". However, none of his known family members have brown hair either, unless his mother is also a natural brunette, and dyes her hair blonde. A third possibility is that one or more of his ancestors had brown hair, and he inherited the color from several generations ago. In some fan work, Craig's black hair is said to be from Asian decent, meaning he would be adopted.
In "Here Comes the Neighborhood", as Token is walking around South Park, looking sorrowfully at the others, he walks past the Welfare office. We see Craig and his parents stepping out of the office at the same time. While Token may have been exaggerating in his thoughts about how poor everyone else in town is, this might imply that Craig's parents are jobless, or that their job/s don't provide enough income for them to get by on it alone.
It is hinted in "My Future Self 'n' Me" that he does not have a good relationship with his parents.

Thomas is Craig's father. He is tall and portly He wears a blue sweater and brown trousers. Under his sweater is a white shirt. He has orangy-red hair, although he seems to be balding. Thomas is considered one of the rednecks in town. In Free Willzyx he said the whale told him his dad was going to enter his room naked or beat him up. Since it was just 2 pranksters at the aquariam it may not have happened.

She has long, blonde hair, and wears a dull-green dress, with a white collar, a white belt around her waist, and white buttons going down all the way. Craig's nasally voice is most likely inherited by her, as she has a nasal voice too. Craig apparently does not care much for her.

She closely resembles Millie, one of Craig's classmates. She has the same colour patterns as Millie, though her hair is in long, higher-up pig-tails, as opposed to Millie's short, drooping ones.
[edit] Rebecca and Skeeter?

Thomas closely resembles Skeeter, a frequently seen townsperson. (The main differences in their appearance are that Thomas is taller, has a rounder face, and balding.) This resemblance might imply a relation; perhaps that of siblings. If this is so, Rebecca (once called Bertha), Skeeter's daughter and one of Craig's female classmates, would also be his cousin.

Craig apparently has a pet guinea pig named Stripe. Stripe has never been seen, and all we know of him is that Craig does not like it when he is insulted. Knowing this, Cartman riled Craig up in "Tweek vs. Craig" by saying that Tweek had said that Craig stuffs Stripe up his rectum before going to bed.

Ever since "Tweek vs. Craig", it seems that the two have some sort of feud. It is guessed that Craig appealed to Tweek, as he was the fourth friend in "How to Eat with Your Butt" and it seems that Tweek preferred Craig over the main boys because of his absence after "Child Abduction is Not Funny". Tweek is the person used most to fill in the spot of the gang's fourth friend. Since Token and Clyde seem to have made a best friend pact, it is possible that Craig and Tweek are best friends as well.

Cartman appears to view Craig as a friend the same way he views Jimmy. Craig actually hates Cartman, but he has been seen with him as a right-hand man, like in Lice Capades. Craig is the main rival of Cartman and the other boys. It is possible that Craig started to dislike the boys because he was manipulated in the events in the episode "Tweek vs. Craig". Although, Craig has seemed to accept Stan, Kyle and Kenny in some episodes such as The Death of Eric Cartman. But still hates Cartman. Also, in the episode, Tsst Cartman cofronts Craig and asks him if he can stay at his place for a while. Craig refuses and says "But I hate you". Sometimes this hatred isn't always against Cartman. In the episode South Park is Gay! Craig and his gang seems to be rivals with Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman.

Token has always been a member of Craig's gang (even when Clyde or Jimmy aren't present) and the two are often seen next to each other. However, the two haven't actually been heard talking. Token is more connected to Clyde, however.

Clyde is a member of Craig's gang. A lot of fanfiction speculates that the two are best friends, but the he doesn't seem as connected to Craig than he is to Token. However, Craig has actually talked to Clyde. Clyde sometimes leads the group which suggests that he and Craig share the spot of the leader, but the position has been confirmed to be Craig as the group is collectively named "Craig and those other guys".

Jimmy has been Craig's friend on a few occasions. He has been hanging around Craig in the background for other episodes as well.

Kevin has been seen in the background talking to Craig many times. This suggests that the two are friends.
[edit] Kenny McCormick
Craig and Kenny seem to have formed a friendship. Kenny helped Craig with his show in Quest for Ratings (although it was induced by Cartman saying that Kenny couldn't join the school news team due to his poverty), and the two were partners in "Super Fun Time". They are not shown as being closer friends than Kenny is to any of the main boys, however. In the episode "lice capades" he accuses Kenny of having lice, and is the first to restrain him.

Jason has been in Craig's gang on one occasion, but has not been seen with Craig since South Park is Gay!.

In Le Petit Tourette, Craig meets Thomas at the end and asks if he can hang out with him and "do his laundry". However, it is unknown if the two are even friends (or maybe something more) as Thomas hasn't been seen since this episode and the two haven't been seen together on screen.

Craig, at the beginning of the series, was only a background student, but was featured more prominently since season three as a secondary character. Like the other students, he has been very prominent since season six. Currently, he mainly shares Clyde's role of being another student who speaks a lot, but also has another importance that he and his friends are social rivals of the main characters. Craig is prominent and is mentioned many times whenever students are seen. Craig is the only fourth grader without an episode solely about him, but since he has been featured more recently, there is a chance he could have his own episode in the future.
