  • Randy Marsh's magician's stage name Amazingly Randi is a reference to real magician The Amazing Randi.
  • This episode revolves are the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering (CCG). The game was created by Richard Garfield in 1993 and is distributed by Wizards of the Coast.
  • All of the cards referenced in the episode are based off actual cards from the game. The cards mentioned mainly come from the MtG 2015 core set that was released in June 2014. This means most of these are reprints from earlier releases.
  • The song "Barbie Girl" by Aqua plays during Randy's cock magic show at the end of the episode. While the song plays, Randy takes a cloth and puts it in front of his penis and then makes his penis appear from behind the cloth in different angles. From one angle, the head of René Dif appears, singing his "Come on Barbie lets go party!" part of the song.
