The Braniff card.

Braniff was an airline that existed from the 1920s to the 1980s. It was revived, briefly in 1982 as the "New" Braniff, but failed in the early 1990s. The final time that Braniff was revived as an airline lasted for 1 year.

After that, Trey Parker and Matt Stone used footage from one of the "New" Braniff's commercials, as an ending production card for South Park. The final episode that used the logo was the Season Thirteen episode, "Pinewood Derby".

Trivia

  • The plane featured in the Braniff title card is a Boeing 727-200.
  • There was a different version of the logo which featured six men dancing without their pants on and a long black bar censoring their private areas. The bar displays the caption "Braniff Airlines". "In Conjuction With..." then appears in place of the Braniff caption. This version only appeared on the unaired pilot episode.
  • The jingle played is the song "Shpadoinkle Day" from Trey Parker and Matt Stone's musicial project, Cannibal! The Musical. It was sung by Trey Parker.
