Bob Dole was an American politician who served in the United States Senate from 1969 to 1996 and in the House of Representatives from 1961 to 1969. He ran for president in 1996 under the Republican Party but lost to Bill Clinton. Afterwards, he retired. During his retirement Mr. Dole became an advertisement pitchman for a variety of products in commercials including Viagra (a drug used in erectile dysfunction).
